Diagnostic Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy

Sometimes, the tests look normal. The blood work is fine. The scans don’t show much. And yet, you know something’s off. Maybe it’s the pain that keeps coming back, the heavy periods that don’t make sense, or the quiet question of why pregnancy hasn’t happened yet.

When symptoms don’t match simple explanations, we go a little deeper, gently, precisely, and with full attention to what your body’s been trying to tell us.

At Dr. Sidapara Sankalp Hospital, we use diagnostic laparoscopy and hysteroscopy to look inside the uterus and pelvis with clarity, care, and purpose. Not just to see what’s there, but to understand what’s really going on.

What Are These Procedures, and Why Are They Done Together?

  • Hysteroscopy allows us to look inside the uterus using a thin, lighted scope inserted through the vagina and cervix, no cuts, no stitches. We check for polyps, fibroids, adhesions, septum, or anything that could be affecting your periods or fertility.
  • Laparoscopy lets us view the outside of the uterus, ovaries, tubes, and surrounding structures through tiny keyhole incisions in the abdomen. It’s the gold standard for diagnosing endometriosis, adhesions, tubal problems, or ovarian cysts that don’t show up clearly on scans.

When combined, these two give us a complete view, inside and out, of your reproductive system. That means fewer missed answers, and better, more informed care going forward.

When Might We Recommend This?

We may suggest a diagnostic laparoscopy and hysteroscopy if:

  • You’ve been trying to conceive without a known cause and had multiple failed treatments
  • You’ve had multiple miscarriages
  • There’s a suspicion of endometriosis, but scans are unclear
  • You’ve had pelvic pain that doesn’t go away
  • Prior treatments haven’t worked, and we need a clearer picture

These procedures aren’t done casually. We only recommend them when we truly believe they’ll help uncover what other tests couldn’t.

What the Procedure Looks Like

  • You’ll be given general anaesthesia so you’re fully asleep and comfortable
  • A camera is gently inserted into the uterus (hysteroscopy), and another through a tiny incision near the belly button (laparoscopy)
  • We inspect, take photos if needed, and may even correct minor findings during the same session
  • The entire procedure takes about 45 minutes to one hour
  • Most women go home the same day

Recovery and Aftercare

  • Mild soreness in the belly or light spotting is common
  • You’ll be moving around within a few hours
  • We’ll explain everything we found, in words you can understand
  • You’ll have a clear plan for what’s next, whether it’s medication, a small procedure, or simply peace of mind

Why Women Feel Safe With Us

  • We believe real answers come from listening to your story, not just reading your reports
  • We treat your body with care, not just clinical precision
  • Our team explains every step, you’ll never be left wondering
  • We act only when needed, nothing more, nothing less
  • Your comfort, dignity, and trust are central to everything we do

Clarity Isn’t Just Medical — It’s Emotional

Many women spend years living with pain or uncertainty, hearing that everything looks “normal”, while knowing, deep down, that something isn’t right. If that sounds familiar, you’re not imagining it. And you’re not alone.

At Dr. Sidapara Sankalp Hospital, we use diagnostic laparoscopy and hysteroscopy not just to look, but to truly listen to what your body has been trying to say. It’s about finding answers, making sense of your symptoms, and helping you move forward with clarity, confidence, and the feeling that you’ve finally been understood.
