Painless Vaginal Delivery

Want a normal delivery, but scared of the pain? You’re not alone. That fear is real, and completely valid. That’s why we offer painless labour options with epidural support. It helps take the edge off, so you can focus on the birth, not just surviving the pain.

At Dr Sidapara Sankalp Hospital, we don’t pressure you into any one way. We talk it through with you, clearly, calmly, and with full respect for your choice.

What Is an Epidural?

It’s a small injection in your lower back that blocks pain signals from reaching your brain. You’ll still feel pressure, but the sharp pain will ease off. You stay awake, aware, and present,  just more comfortable. We only give it after discussing it with you. Nothing happens without your consent.

What We Offer

  • Safe and well-monitored epidural pain relief
  • Calm labour rooms where you feel supported, not rushed
  • One-on-one guidance from start to finish
  • Constant fetal monitoring to keep baby safe
  • Help with pushing when the time comes
  • Full recovery support after birth

Why It Helps

  • Takes the panic out of labour
  • It lets you rest and conserve energy
  • Helps avoid emergency C-sections due to exhaustion
  • Makes the experience more calm, more in your control
  • You’re still fully part of the moment,  just without intense pain

Why This Matters

  • Gives you a real choice in how you birth
  • Helps you stay calm and focused
  • Makes normal delivery feel more doable
  • Supports a smoother, less exhausting labour
  • Builds confidence, in yourself and your team

Who Should Avoid an Epidural?

Epidurals are safe for most women, but in a few cases, we may not recommend it. Not because it’s dangerous, but because your body or medical history needs a different kind of care.

You may not be a good candidate if:

  • You have a bleeding disorder or are on blood thinners
  • You’ve had major spinal surgeries or conditions like scoliosis
  • You have a very low platelet count
  • There’s an infection near the injection site
  • Labour is progressing too fast to safely place the epidural
  • You prefer a natural birth without intervention, and we fully respect that too

Don’t worry, if any of these apply, we’ll explain why, talk through other options, and make sure your pain is still managed in the safest way possible.

Choosing an epidural doesn’t make you any less brave. It means you’re choosing to go through labour with comfort, clarity, and support, and that’s strength too.

We’re not here to tell you what kind of birth you should have. We’re here to help you understand your options, feel confident in your choices, and create a birth experience that feels safe and right for you.

If painless delivery is something you’re considering or even just curious about, let’s talk. No pressure. No judgment. Just honest answers and calm support from a team that’s walked this journey with hundreds of women before you.

Book your consultation today. We’ll help you plan a birth where you feel heard, cared for, and truly in control, every step of the way.
